The man is accused of stealing one family's car, ramming another vehicle and breaking into a home in the middle of the night. 9News
Moments earlier, the same man is believed to have allegedly forced another young family off the road.
"Doing 100km/h and he hit us pretty hard, and we just didn't know what was going to happen," Mr Richardson said. It is believed the man involved walked for several hours along dirt roads in the dark before allegedly breaking into a Stockport home around 2am.
