A 75-year-old man has been charged with murder after he allegedly hit another man with a car and struck him with an axe in a "violent" altercation in Sydney's west.Officers found the 59-year-old alleged victim with a head wound on a street in Cabramatta west about 8.45pm on Thursday. He died at the scene.
Police allege Tran deliberately hit the younger man with a car before repeatedly striking him with an axe. Police seized the axe and arrested the 75-year-old who was then taken to hospital for an unrelated medical condition. The crime scene was "quite confronting" for police and others on the street, Acting Inspector Mitch Corfield said.
