A 26-year-old man from Gulliver has been charged with the murder of a 21-year-old man whose body was found in a car in Woodstock, near Townsville. The victim was last seen with the accused on December 13th, and his body was discovered the following day. Police allege the accused is known to the deceased.
A man has been charged with the murder of another man who was found dead in the backseat of a car in Queensland ’s far north. The body of a 21-year-old man was found sprawled across the backseat of a car by a passer-by on Webb Rd in Woodstock, near Townsville , on Saturday, December 14, last year. The silver 2003 Subaru Forester had allegedly been seen driving erratically earlier in the night, police said.
The man was last seen late on Friday night, December 13, with a 26-year-old male friend. That same friend was picked up by a truck driver on Saturday morning and dropped off at a roadhouse in nearby Calcium, before he allegedly attempted to steal a B-double truck and was arrested by police. On Wednesday, police confirmed a 26-year-old Gulliver man had been charged with murder. “Police will allege the man is known to the deceased man,” police said.
