Officers entered an underground car park of the unit block when an allegedly stolen car drove towards them. A 34-year-old man was also shot in the thigh and was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.They then entered an underground car park of the unit block, when the allegedly stolen car was driven towards them.
"As they walked down the driveway they found a locked garage door with a car inside, as they opened the garage the vehicle accelerated towards them," South West Metropolitan Region Commander Paul Dunstan said at the time.Police had received reports of a stolen car being located at Lane Street in Wentworthville. The officers involved included a sergeant and a probationary officer who had been on the job for six months.
