A man drowns after being swept off rocks at Wollongong Harbour.
Emergency crews were called to Belmore Basin at 12:50pm.A junior police officer jumped into the water in an attempt to save the man.
Acting Inspector Kelly Zorn has praised the bravery of emergency crews in their attempts to rescue the man."Surf Life Saving came to the rescue and brought him back to shore but unfortunately he could not be revived," she said.
