A police operation is underway in Sydney's inner west after a man was stabbed to death this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Henry Street, Lewisham, just before 1pm today where they found a man with multiple stab wounds to his chest.Several police cars are on the scene and a helicopter landed in nearby Petersham Park.
"We are actively looking for anyone that may know if he was with any persons, at this stage information has not been confirmed so that's why we are appealing for witnesses," she said.
