Temperature to climb to 30 degrees across Sydney ahead of weekend cold front | marywardy

Temperatures will reach 30 degrees in Sydney's west on Thursday, as northwesterly winds bring a warm air mass across the state.

But it isn't travelling alone – also in the climate convoy is a cold front due to hit on Friday causing a return to more usual temperatures by the weekend.

On Thursday, these temperatures could be seen "anywhere westward of Parramatta" in Sydney, Ms Duma said. Temperatures will reach 27 degrees on the coast, and 29 degrees in inner Sydney, with warm winds of 25 to 40 km/h.Temperatures will reach 30 degrees in Sydney's west today - but it will be short-lived, with a cold front due to hit on Friday."We are looking at a 5 or 6 degree drop," Ms Duma said, with maximum temperatures in Sydney on Friday to hit 23 degrees.
