A man is dead and three other people have been treated for shock after a freak road incident in regional New South Wales.
A man has been killed in a freak road incident in regional NSW after an item flung off a caravan travelling in the opposite direction and smashed through the windscreen of the vehicle he was driving.
Police were told a 49-year-old man was driving eastbound on the roadway when an item from a caravan travelling in the opposite direction flung off and smashed through the windscreen of the vehicle, striking the driver in the head. Picture: Getty Images Police said the 32-year-old driver of the vehicle towing the caravan was taken to Harden Hospital for mandatory testing. A crime scene was established and examined by Crash Investigation Unit officers on Sunday night.
