Firefighters make a grim discovery, finding the remains of a man inside a fire ground at Mount Gibson in WA's Mid West.

Firefighters made the grim discovery on Wednesday afternoon, after being called to fight the fire on Tuesday. The bushfire, which a Department of Fire and Emergency Services [DFES] spokesman said started yesterday, has so far burned through about 800 hectares in the Mount Gibson Reserve.Arson Squad detectives and DFES fire investigators will attend the scene today to investigate the cause of the fire.
WA Police say the deceased man's role on the fire ground and the circumstances leading up to his death will form part of the investigation.
