Raptor Squad detectives have charged two men following an investigation into the alleged shooting of a man and the theft of a Rolex watch near Port Stephens.
Emergency services were called to an address on Bundabah Street in Karuah at about 6.40pm on Wednesday following reports a man had been shot.On arrival, police were told two men had arrived at the location and allegedly shot the 55-year-old man, before stealing a luxury Rolex watch and fleeing the scene.
Rolex watches are one of the most sought-after luxury time pieces and retail for between $15,000 and over $100,000. Officers attached to Port Stephens Hunter Police District commenced an investigation before it was referred to State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad North.
