Driver who failed to stop after hitting man thought she had 'hit a kangaroo', inquest told
Trinton Harmon's family is keeping his memory alive, but their grief is profound, Mr Harmon's former partner has told the Hobart Coroner's Court.Trinton Harmon died on July 8, 2016 after being hit by a four-wheel drive driven by Simone Bridges on the South Arm Highway
Ms Bridges told the inquest she thought she had hit a kangaroo or wallaby and did not stop. She also said she did not know her licence was suspended at the time due to unpaid fines. "We certainly talk about Trinton all the time. We've got a lot of his stuff around the house," she said. Ms Bennett told the inquest she saw Mr Harmon two days before he died, when he had dinner with the family and watched a movie with his sons afterwards.
