Police are hunting a man they say showed pornography to a 10-year-old boy on a train and have arrested and charged another who allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl on a tram.

The first man asked the boy to sit next to him, police have been told, before showing him pornographic images on his phone.Police have released an image of the alleged pervert, who is perceived to be of Asian appearance and aged in his 50s and was wearing a blue cap, a blue-short sleeved shirt, blue jeans and runners.

The incident happened about 11.20 am on January 24 on a Melbourne-bound train between Sandown and Oakleigh stations.The girl who was allegedly assaulted on Sunday was sitting on the number 64 tram on Hawthorn Road in Caulfield about 2.40pm.The girl got off the tram at the next stop and reported the matter to police.He was interviewed and is expected to be charged on summons with sexual assault and unlawful assault.
