Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal in a pre-seson friendly in California - and suffered a couple of injury scares too in the process.
United took the lead in the SoFi Stadium thanks to Rasmus Hojlund, but the Dane soon went off injured and was followed down the tunnel before half-time by Leny Yoro. Arsenal equalised through Gabriel Jesus in the first period. Erik ten Hag rang the changes at the interval, making 10 substitutions, but it was Arsenal who got a late winner through Gabriel Martinelli before the two teams took part in a meaningless penalty shootout.
