Many people have been “so blind to this menace” of the Communist Party of China, which is an aggressive dictatorship that is already bullying Australia says Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“So many people have been so blind to this menace," Mr Bolt said. He said there are people, particularly businessman, who are "running around" with the idea China could make them rich. "It could also make us slaves,” he said.

The program obliges its recruits to abide by Chinese law and religious practice and requires their inventions be patented in China, but offered recruits profitable salaries and additional perks. Mr Bolt said the report was "astonishing". Ms Markson said the Thousand Talents Plan was a way of getting access "to the best advancements, technological advancements, whatever field it's in, from around the world".
