‘Doesn’t have much credibility’: AWU boss slams Littleproud over regional visa callsAWU National Secretary Daniel Walton says he's looking forward to Nationals Leader David Littleproud 'riding in on his one trick pony' to Labor's Jobs and Skills Summit with more calls for 'easily exploitable' regional visas. Mr Littleproud accepted an invitation from Treasurer Jim Chalmers to attend the industrial relations summit in September and vowed to put forward a raft of proposals. These include wanting to have changes made to certain welfare payments and the introduction of a regional visa to attract more migrants to regional Australia. Mr Walton accused Mr Littleproud of putting forward 'short term, easily exploitable visas' to solve the 'long term systemic problems' in the agricultural industry. 'This is the same guy who proposed an agriculture visa which was going to decimate our friends in the Pacific without any consultation to them,' Mr Walton told Sky News Australia. 'This guy doesn't have much credibility and once again is banging the same drum of failed policies from the previous government.'
