Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles says he is “confident” Labor’s climate bill will be passed through parliament.
The climate bill, which sets emissions reduction targets for 2030 and 2050, will be introduced with up to 17 other legislations when the parliament returns this week.
“We were very clear with the Australian people in the single most detailed piece of policy an opposition has ever brought to an election, in respect to our action on climate change, and that is what we’re going to put to the parliament.”
