Richard Marles has trained with AFLW players and coaches who are also Australian Defence Force members, as he told how he was 'proud our ADF can offer a range of opportunities' for those serving.
Mr Marles recently took to Whitten Oval in Melbourne with players and coaches from four different clubs as he showed his support for serving members from the army, navy and air force who are participating in professional sport.

"The government is committed to growing the ADF workforce and must look at providing opportunities for all Australian citizens to defend their nation, including professional sportspeople."

"I want to take a moment to acknowledge everyone who has helped get us to this historic moment: the trailblazers, corporate and broadcast partners, believers, clubs, coaches, captains, governments, and passionate fans," AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan said.
