Law firms involved in the case argue that the affected cars and vans emit more harmful nitrogen oxide pollution than advertised, suggesting that they were mis-sold to consumers. As a result, these law firms contend that buyers could be entitled to a refund or other financial compensation. They argue that customers would not have purchased the vehicles if they had been aware of the true emission levels.
MSE has highlighted that the clock is ticking this month for drivers to stake their claims against vehicle manufacturers, urging immediate decisions from those mulling legal action. Money-saving guru Martin Lewis took to his platform with a clarion call, stressing: "Nissan, Renault or Vauxhall diesel driver - decide now whether to join emissions lawsuits.
