Marvel's Avengers adds the Winter Soldier today with Update 2.7, along with an Omega-Level Threat which seems to have been two years in the making.
gains the Winter Soldier with today's update, along with the Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat, which had originally been announced two years ago, not long after the game's launch.A month or so after launching Marvel's Avengers back in 2020, Square Enixan update about the game, saying"in the next few weeks" it would begin to introduce Omega-Level Threats as a"new mission classification," with the first of these being the AIM Cloning Lab.
"As seen in the No Rest for the Wicked warzone, Monica has revived MODOK but was unable to bring him under her control,"."The monstrous genius has now taken over AIM’s Cloning Lab, AIM’s most precious base and the source of the cloned villains that have plagued the Avengers. From there MODOK intends to take back up his crusade against powered individuals and you must stop him once and for all before he can put his plans into action.
Today's update also adds the Winter Soldier as a playable hero along with his own mission chain, skill tree, and hero abilities."While echoes of Bucky’s past training partners like Captain America and Black Widow can be seen in some of his move-set, he has made them his own and combined them with skills that flow from his Winter Soldier indoctrination and his cybernetic enhancements.
