Mates in Construction National CEO Chris Lockwood says everyone can get involved in a virtual event called ‘Mates Big Lap’ to raise funds for mental health initiatives helping those in the construction industry.
The charity is challenging Australians to lace up, swim, or cycle, to hit an ambitious target of 15,000km.
“That’s what the Mates program is actually built around, giving people the skills, the comfort to understand that they can ask that simple question about how someone’s actually going, have a genuine conversation if they see someone struggling at work,” Mr Lockwood told Sky News Australia.
