The Danish U21 international has been a stand-out for the Hoops this term under Brendan Rodgers.
Matt O'Riley is reportedly in the midst of new contract talks with Celtic - but January transfer interested is "expected" with the Scottish champions resolve to be tested.
Reports claimed that Celtic booted out a £10m from English Championship club Leeds United near the end of the transfer window after the 22-year-old's sparkling start to life under Brendan Rodgers. Since the end of the summer window, the midfielder has continued to impress under the boss as he adds goal to his game this term with four netted so far this term - as many as he managed throughout all of last season.
The Hoops have been busy signing up a host of players on long-term deals in recent weeks with Liel Abada, Kyogo, Callum McGregor and Daizen Maeda committing their futures to the club. Sky Sports report that O'Riley "remains in talks" with Celtic as they ramp up the latest round of negotiations. But Celtic will reportedly field interest from clubs in the winter transfer window. The report claims there is "expected to be further interest from clubs across Europe in January" following up on Leeds approach earlier this year.
O'Riley signed for the club in January 2022 from MK Dons and his deal expires in 2026. Reports in Denmark suggest that he could be in line for a call up to the Danish national side for the first time having been capped at U21 level - which will only see his price tag rise.
