The Russian cybercriminals behind the Medibank data hacking scandal have leaked more personal customer records to the dark web as they ramp up ransom demands ahead of the health insurer’s shareholder meeting.
Another file, which Sky News Australia has chosen not to publish the name of, was published by the Russian criminals on Sunday night.

Offer ends 31 October, 2023The leak occurred ahead of Medibank’s pivotal shareholder meeting on Wednesday, which the hackers indicated they would be watching carefully.“We’ll announce, that next portion of data we’ll publish at Friday, bypassing this week completely in a hope something meaningful happened on Wednesday.
The group previously demanded a $15 million ransom from Australia’s largest private health insurer for the hack, which impacts some 9.7 million current and former customers.Given the nature of the stolen data that continues to be released on a dark web forum, weâre in the process of contacting customers and we urge our customers to reach out for support
