In a statement on Friday, the country’s largest health insurer said Deloitte had “made recommendations to enhance Medibank’s IT processes and systems”.
Medibank says it will not release the findings of an external report investigating a cyberattack that compromised the personal data and health information of nearly 10 million current and former members.
A spokeswoman said on Friday that no further information would be shared publicly. However, the company says it will “share lessons from the cybercrime with other Australian businesses, where it can.”including at recent events. Optus is expected to share the findings of its external report when it is concluded.
Chairman Mike Wilkins said the Medibank board “will continue to oversee the completion of steps to implement the recommendations to enhance systems and processes even further”.
