In a letter to MRC members on Thursday, the club said Kanga’s motion was illegal.“The executive committee, excluding members with conflicts of interest, has reviewed a motion received by committee member John Kanga in detail and concluded that it is not legally valid,” the email says. The MRC also released its annual general report in which retiring chairman Matt Cain and former chief executive Josh Blanksby wrote their final messages to members.

Blanksby said the growth came from “positive reevaluations of our properties at Sandown and the Caulfield western precinct as well as $60.5 million in strategic capital investments related to the Caulfield master plan”.
