While there will still be a chance of showers in the region, Thursday is expected to be sunnier than in previous days. It is also likely to be a breezy day, with temperatures reaching a maximum of 21C.
The Met Office said for Thursday: "A bright and rather breezy day on Thursday with a chance of a shower, although these mostly light. A sunny end to the day is likely, with winds easing. Maximum temperature 21 °C." The Met Office said: "High pressure is most likely to be located either over or close to the UK through much of this period, leading to a more widely settled period of weather for most, with some cool nights, but near or slightly above average temperatures by day.
