The aircraft left Hervey Bay Airport at 4:22pm and landed at 4:33pm, a 74 kilometre journey that lasted just 11 minutes, according to The Courier Mail. "I drive the southern leg every single morning and whenever I’m in the regions, we’re very often travelling on the Bruce Highway. It's our most important road." The Premier stayed overnight in Bundaberg, before he had a radio interview on Tuesday morning and stopped by the construction site of the new$1.2 billion hospital.Asked on Wednesday by another journalist if the trip was partly focused on Mr Smith's birthday, Mr Miles said he only found out about the special day on his way there.
