Speaker Milton Dick has ejected a fellow Queenslander and Labor MP from Question Time, who was interrupting Opposition Leader Peter Dutton.
Earlier in Question Time Mr Perrett asked a dixer to Treasurer Jim Chalmers about how the government is responding to the economic challenges.
“It’s already 6.1 per cent through the year to June, and now forecast to peak at 7.75 per cent in the December quarter this year,” he continued. Mr Dick, the Member for Oxley, was on Tuesday named as the next Speaker of the House following a secret ballot. The government will now suspend all voting and quorums after 6:30pm in a move designed to better accommodate MPs’ families.
