Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth says she hopes today’s women’s safety meeting in Adelaide will help to finalise a plan to end violence against women and children in Australia.
“I want to make sure that our state and territory colleagues and the Commonwealth are all pushing in the same direction, and that’s what the national plan will do,” she told Sky News Australia.
“I’m looking forward to working with my state and territory colleagues to actually progress that plan, have a timetable to finalise it and get on with the job of action in this important area.”
