President Andrzej Duda said it was mostly likely a Ukrainian missile that fell in Poland, but he also said that the ultimate responsibility lies with Russia, which launched a barrage of missile attacks on Ukraine on Tuesday
The missile blast in Poland that killed two people was mostly likely an unfortunate accident, not an “intentional attack”, Poland’s president said on Wednesday.
The country’s prime minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, said on Wednesday that Poland was still analysing the possibility of launching the NATO Article 4 procedure, but it seemed it might not be necessary to use that measure. That assessment and Biden’s comments at the Group of 20 summit in Indonesia contradicted information earlier on Tuesday from a senior US intelligence official who said that Russian missiles crossed into Poland.Twitter/@LachowskiMateus
Still, Scholz and others, including UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, also laid overall but not specific blame on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
