A missing Sydney man had been allegedly murdered by his wife, who is also accused of chopping up his body to hide her actions. The 62-year-old Greenacre man was reported missing in July last year after he had not been seen since May, and a public appeal was launched by NSW Police when he could not be located. His disappearance was deemed suspicious by police, who then spent over a year investigating before arresting his wife.
The 53-year-old woman was arrested at a hospital in Bankstown about 1pm on Thursday. She was charged with domestic violence-related murder on Friday at Bankstown Police Station about 10am. A crime scene was also established at a home on June Pde in Greenace on Friday. The woman was refused bail and appeared before Bankstown Local Court on Friday. She will next appear before Burwood Local Court on December 11.
