Former prime minister Scott Morrison says there are moments he will “never get back” as he reflects on the time he missed out on with his family while serving as the country’s leader.

“It’s a big cost, and it’s a painful cost,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“We’ve all paid this price happily and gladly, although it is a cost, but at the same time … you can’t pretend it’s not there, it’s real and there are moments I will never get back.”
