New Zealand officials have formally identified four more Australian victims who were killed in the White Island tragedy.

Jessica Richards, Jason Griffiths, Martin Hollander and Kristine Langford, whose husband Anthony was also killed, were identified on Monday. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has led her country in a minute's silence to mark one week since White Island erupted.

Officials, families, first responders and friends paused to honour the 16 lives lost and the two still unaccounted for. Police have resumed an aerial search to find their bodies and are confident one is in the water around White Island but are uncertain about the location of the other. Australia's Foreign Minister Marise Payne has travelled to New Zealand in the wake of the disaster and will meet with Jacinda Ardern to convey Australia's appreciation to the first responders.
