Two oat milk brands sold at Woolworths stores across Australia have been urgently recalled over biotoxin contamination fears. 7NEWS
The contamination was first identified when a person experienced severe symptoms of botulism after drinking the almond milk product, according to NSW Health.“Initial investigations have confirmed the presence of botulinum toxin in a sample of the , NSW Health said.
If unrefrigerated, the product is at risk of microbial growth and biotoxin contamination which may cause illness or injury if consumed.NSW Health advises the recalled product is not safe to consume and is asking people to check the products in their fridge and cupboard. The affected 1L cartons of oat milks and almond milks will display use by dates up to and including May 18, 2023.
