NSW Fire and Rescue has 10 firetrucks working to stop the Darlington blaze from spreading.
More than 30 firefighters are working to contain an apartment blaze in Sydney’s inner south.
Fire and Rescue NSW received a call about 8.05am that an apartment on the third floor was on fire on Abercrombie Street in Darlington.Matt O'Sullivan Superintendent Adam Dewberry said there were 10 firetrucks on scene with more than 30 firefighters working to contain the blaze. “They’re currently working to cut the fire off, they’ve got ladder trucks but whether they use them or not is another thing,” Dewberry said.The apartment is showing some signs of structural collapse as Lawson Street is closed back to Redfern railway station.
