A small group of pro-Palestine protesters have crashed the opening of Myer’s Christmas Windows despite the public backlash to their plans.

A small group of protesters have crashed the opening of Myer 's Christmas Windows , but the"Morons 4 Palestine" failed to prevent the annual attraction going ahead with dozens of families showing up to see the Australia Zoo-themed displays.

However many of the people who had flocked to the Bourke Street department store for the annual attraction lamented the behaviour of the protesters.

“The hospitality industry is suffering a crisis of historical significance in Melbourne’s CBD due to the unrelenting protests that have marred our city,” Mr Lambert said. A spokesperson for Myer said this year’s window displays have been created in partnership with Australia Zoo and the family of the late Steve Irwin.
