The organiser of a pro-Palestine protest group has provided a controversial reason for plans to disrupt the Myer Christmas Windows, as they ignored pleas from Victoria Police to respect the holiday tradition.
Pro-Palestine protesters are planning to crash the Myer Christmas Windows at Bourke Street Mall, ignoring pleas from police to leave the treasured event alone.
“Meet at the State Library at 10 am. Victoria Police released a statement confirming it was aware of the plans and would have a"visible presence". "The Myer Christmas Windows are an important tradition in Melbourne’s calendar, with families from across Victoria coming into the city to see them.
