Prime Minister Scott Morrison said 'you don't go and throw a lifeline to Russia' when it is invading another country as he condemned China's decision to ease trade restrictions with the nation.
Mr Morrison said he is “concerned at the lack of a strong response from China” in the wake of the conflict, as other major countries across the world continue condemn the ongoing attacks and impose sanctions on Russia.

Try 1 month free now “They say they seek peace and I welcome those sentiments and I welcome their comments which talk about trying to get to a position where these violent acts can cease,” he said.
“That is simply unacceptable from the reports that we have seen and I would urge all nations to say this is not a time to be easing trade restrictions with Russia. He believes international sporting events scheduled in Russia should be scrapped over Mr Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.Defence Minister Peter Dutton on Friday warned China and Russia’s relationship is “deeply disturbing” as Beijing refused to condemn the actions of its ally.
