Most Victorian government agencies will miss their reporting deadline and table their annual financial reviews after November’s state election | heyracheddie SpringSt

Pallas said key departments and agencies would be prioritised. They were working with the Auditor-General “with the best of endeavours” to table the reports by the final sitting day of the year, while lower priority reports were likely to be tabled next term.

“The government has made sure that all of their failings and all of their mismanagement will be hidden until after the state election,” Staley said.Dr Colleen Lewis, an honorary professor with the ANU Australian Studies Institute and an associate of the Centre for Public Integrity, said the pandemic was not an excuse.

“These reports should be tabled before the election. Victorians want to see more integrity in our politics,” Ratnam said.
