He was placed on life support in a Gold Coast hospital and doctors are now attempting to bring him out of an induced comaZac Longfield was celebrating on Queensland's Gold Coast with friends on November 30 when it appears he walked into a volatile situation. Initial information from police suggests he became involved in a verbal exchange with a large group of men and women in the early hours of the morning on a street at Broadbeach, near an apartment where he was staying.
The group allegedly followed Mr Longfield before an altercation occurred and he was punched, causing him to fall and hit his head. He suffered critical head injuries, including skull fractures and spinal fractures, and was placed in an induced coma at the Gold Coast University Hospital."This is the day I should be posting a massive 'happy 21st birthday' to my first baby Zac who made me a mumma … but instead I'm sitting in the ICU with you on life support because of one stupid punch from a total stranger," she said.
