The mother-of-four had recently moved to Townsville before she was killed on a dirt road, police believe.

Queensland police are investigating the murder of woman, whose lifeless body was discovered by teenagers on a dirt road in a fishing village, after she recently moved to north Queensland.Police were called about 4.45pm on Saturday to Jaloonda Road in Bluewater after a group of teenagers riding quad bikes on a sandy path found the 44-year-old woman.

Shepherd said the woman might have known her attacker but it was not being treated as a domestic or family violence case. When asked how the incident occurred, he refused to answer but said detectives had “an idea of how it occurred”.
