A truck driver who left the scene of a collision in Melbourne is being urged to come forward, with Victoria Police confirming a motorcyclist died following the incident.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist from Werribee was riding down the West Gate Freeway in Spotswood on Thursday afternoon when he was struck by two trucks. One of the truck drivers stopped following the collision which occurred about 4.30pm near the Williamstown Road exit. The other truck driver continued on, with police reporting he was last seen heading west bound on the freeway.The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital, where he later died.
