A mourning family leans on the community after an Easter holiday outing ends in the tragic death of their teenage son.
Usher Boyd died on Saturday after jumping from a bridge in northern New South Wales.The local MP says she will be working with the council for better safety on the bridge.
"I really want to thank the community members who helped on the day, the lady who looked after my daughter, the emergency services and the police."The community has offered condolences to Usher's family, including locals whose own children regularly jumped from the bridge. Richmond MP Justine Elliott said while the focus right now was on supporting Usher's family, she would be speaking with Tweed Shire Council about measures to improve safety on the bridge.
