Teenage Ukrainian refugee Anastasia Pyshna says her “dream” came to life after she was accepted into the Conservatorium High School in Sydney – less than a year after fleeing the Ukraine-Russia war with her mother.
Ms Pyshna was accepted into the school, which has a speciality in musical education, for talent with the piano.
She said her father, who is currently fighting against the Russian invasion of Ukraine, was “very excited” and happy when she told him about the news over FaceTime. “It was a hard journey to get there, many tests, but the principal and many kind people helped me,” she told Sky News host Erin Molan.Read More
