North Texas had a break in the extreme heat Thursday and that will continue into Friday. It'll still be hot with highs in the 90s with a heat index around 100, but it won't be the oppressive heat from earlier in the week.The heat will begin to increase Saturday and will last deep into next week. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s Saturday, followed by several days of triple digit heat Sunday into next week. The humidity will not be as high as it has been for much of this week.
