Australian basketball becomes the latest sport to feel the pinch of COVID infections as a Hawks and Phoenix clash is postponed.
The NBL has been forced to postpone Thursday night's clash between the Illawarra Hawks and South-East Melbourne Phoenix after several Hawks players tested positive for COVID-19., while the AFLW brought in strict new measures to keep its season on track.
"The NBL will continue to follow the advice of governments and health authorities and further testing will be carried out on any individuals impacted or those deemed close contacts." "The Hawks are obviously disappointed to see this fixture against the Phoenix postponed, especially after Friday's exciting home opener but everyone's safety has to come first," Kordahi said.
