The man accused of carrying out a bombing which killed an Adelaide detective in 1994 parked in direct sight of the blast zone before watching the aftermath, according to prosecution documents.

National Crime Authority bombing accused Domenic Perre parked on an Adelaide CBD rooftop in "direct eyesight of the blown-out window" within hours of the deadly blast, before watching the aftermath from the street, according to court documents.

The document stated that by then, the NCA had received references from each state and the Commonwealth to target Italian organised crime, and that Sergeant Bowen was working on the "Cerebus reference". In the document, prosecutors stated they would rely on a letter that Mr Perre sent to American man Ray Jarvis, who provided training and equipment to law enforcement agencies and the military in the United States.

"There is a body of evidence that establishes that the accused had knowledge, or at the very least information available to him, about how to make the bomb," the document stated.
