The NDIS Commission, which serves as the watchdog for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, emphasized that Freedom Care Group's actions violated the NDIS Code of Conduct. This code mandates that providers operate with integrity, honesty, and transparency. NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commissioner Louise Glanville asserted that the Commission would utilize the full extent of its regulatory authority to hold service providers accountable for any breaches of the law.Commissioner Glanville stressed the Commission's unwavering commitment to safeguarding the human rights of individuals with disabilities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, secure disability support services. She emphasized that all NDIS providers, regardless of their registration status, must adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct. Glanville stated that the Commission would take decisive action against any providers who fail to fulfill their obligations to NDIS participants. She characterized Freedom Care Group's conduct as posing significant risks to both NDIS participants and the integrity and financial sustainability of the NDIS. The systematic and dishonest nature of the violations strongly suggests that Freedom Care Group is not a suitable provider of support services for individuals with disabilities
