An F1 driver’s first offence will receive a €40,000 fine, while a second offence will double the fine to €80,000 and incur a suspended one-month ban. “As soon as I went into qualifying, I knew the car was f***ed,” Verstappen said when asked about his struggles at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. “I mean, these kinds of things definitely decide my future as well. The governing body also retained the same fines for “the general making and display of political, religious and personal statements or comments notably in violation of the general principle of neutrality promoted by the FIA under its Statutes, unless previously approved in writing by the FIA for International Competitions, or by the relevant ASN for National Competitions within their jurisdiction”.
