Melbourne radio host Neil Mitchell has revealed he will be interviewed by Bill Shorten after he lost a bet to the diehard Collingwood fan.
Collingwood broke a 13-year Premiership drought beating Brisbane by four points to claim the club’s 16th flag at the AFL Grand Final on the weekend sending their fans into delirium.
The pair had agreed to interview each other depending on which team won their qualifying final earlier this year and with the Pies beating out the Demons it meant Mr Shorten would have the chance to question Mitchell. Mitchell was asked about the bet by Today Show host Karl Stefanovic who joked Mr Shorten was refusing to do"any media commitments" until the bet was served.“He said 8:30am the beginning of the program. I'm not going to waste the beginning of the program with Bill talking. So we can do it at five to 12. Give him five minutes just before I get off air.”
“It's awful. Within seconds of the siren going, I had text messages from everybody,” he told Channel 9’s Today Show.

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy submitted the bill before the deadline in defiance of hard-liners in his party. President Biden remains adamant that Ukraine can still count on US support. “I can reassure them – look at me – we’re going to get it done,” he said.
