Speaking on the discussions the pair had, Harris told the media she had advised the Israeli PM she"will always ensure Israel is able to defend itself" from militant groups including Hamas and Hezbollah, both backed by Iran. Discussions were also had on the human suffering in Gaza, with more than two million residents facing high levels of food insecurity.
